Nutrition Coaching
Nutrition, supplements and vitamins. As a nutrition coach I think this is a very controversial topic. Personally, the only supplement I use is protein just to meet my daily protein intake. I was taking vitamins in the past, but to be honest, I did not see any performance improvements or health benefits, so I stopped.
In general, most people don’t need supplements/vitamins of any kind – you are best off to get all the vitamins, minerals, proteins, healthy fats, calories from a healthy, well-balanced diet that is based on grains, fruits, vegetables, lean meats and seeds.
If you are working on losing weight….you don’t need supplements for that. Just try making small changes in your diet – try eating more nutrient-dense veggies, this will help you decrease your calorie intake and will improve your nutrition at the same time. Pills just DON’T work.
In my opinion some people (I was one of them), don’t really understand nutrition anymore or they don’t understand how to eat healthy. Instead of taking vitamins/supplements we should focus on eating well balanced meals – this will have a positive impact on our bodies, whether the goal is to add muscle, ton up, or drop a few pounds.
